Joel I. Binstok, Esq., President
Joel Binstok founded The York Group LLC. York is a NY based real estate auditing and consulting firm that works on a national basis and has worked with JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Vivendi Universal, CBS,Thomson Reuters, Chubb, EmblemHealth, VF Nautica and Gap. Prior to forming York, Joel was as a commercial real estate lawyer. He last practiced law in the NY City office of the national law firm of Gaston & Snow and prior to that worked as an associate counsel at EDC of the City of New York.
Joel has published articles on commercial leases and lease auditing and has authored the “Operating Expense” chapter in a textbook on Commercial Leasing published by the NY State Bar Association edited by Joshua Stein, Esq. He regularly conducts leasing seminars for attorneys and commercial real estate professionals.
Joel is on the Executive Committee of the NYS Bar Association Real Properly Section and a former executive member of the NY City Chapter of CoreNet Global. He is admitted to practice law in New York.
Joel has a BA from the State University of New York at Albany and a J.D. from Albany Law School. He resides in Rye Brook, NY.
